Melania Trump photographed for the first time since missing the debate

The eyes of the nation have been on the families of both of the presumed nominees for the 2024 presidential election, and there seems to be a particular fascination with former President Donald Trump's much younger wife, Melania.

The former first lady and candidate's wife was photographed out for the first time since she skipped the first presidential debate between her husband and President Joe Biden last week, as The Daily Mail reported.

Melania Trump was seen walking into Trump Tower in New York on Monday, and those following her were loaded down with luggage on carts, bringing it into the New York residence.

The Debate

During the debate President Joe Biden struggled to find answers, and she was noticeably absent from the event, with no explanation provided.

At the conclusion of the debate, Jill Biden was present and joined her husband on stage before the event ended. Once the discussion was over, Donald Trump left the stage by himself.

Uncertainty exists around the location of Melania Trump's summertime activities, but t ypically, the Trump family relocates to Bedminister, New Jersey, where they reside on Donald Trump's private golf course.

On the other hand, the former president was preparing for the discussion from his residence in Palm Beach, which is known as Mar-a-Lago.

Past Precedent

The fact that Melania did not participate in the debate was a significant departure from the norm.

During both the 2016 and 2020 election seasons, she was present at each and every debate, showing her support for the former president.

"Families started attending the debates regularly in 1976 and it would be pretty shocking for the wife of a candidate to break that tradition," presidential historian Dr. Lindsay Chervinsky said.

Outside Reports

There have been rumors that she might not take up residence in Washington, D.C. on a permanent basis if her husband is elected to a second term in the White House.

Those who are close to the former first lady say that she will most likely divide her time between New York City and Mar-a-Lago, which is located in Palm Beach, Florida. This is especially true considering that Barron, who is 18 years old, is expected to attend New York University.

Melania would instead only travel to Washington, D.C., for ceremonial tasks such as attending state banquets and other important occasions.

Journalists have requested information and comment from the first lady's office without any response.
