Melania Steps Up to Host LGBTQ+ Event for Trump Campaign

Democrats have long portrayed Trump as an enemy of LGBTQ+ communities, and that messaging has been effective.

Forget the fact that Trump was the first president to have an openly gay cabinet member because the media does not seem interested in that.

They continue to flip the narrative of Republicans protecting children by wanting to keep environments and decisions age-based as an attack, so now it is Melania taking the lead.

Melania Steps Up

It has just been announced that on July 8, Melania will be hosting an event in New York at the Trump Tower in Manhattan hosting conservative members of the LGBTQ+ community.

This is no small event, either, as the reported ticket price is a cool $100,000 per person.

This will actually be the second such event that Melania will have hosted, so she is clearly taking the lead on this front for her husband.

Former State Department Spokesperson Morgan Ortagus noted, “While this is Mrs. Trump's second event in 2024 for Log Cabin, she's participated in many events for Log Cabin over the years.

“[T]he event in NYC is in her home. So not only is she helping Log Cabin, she is opening her home to them.

“As a longtime supporter of Log Cabin Republicans, it is encouraging to see the former President and former First Lady setting the tone in our party to support an organization that is virtual to our grassroots efforts, to winning the youth vote, and to winning the general election in November.”

Melania has rarely been seen in public since Donald Trump announced that he would be running for president again.

She has only made a handful of campaign appearances, all at private events, and did not attend a single day of the trial in New York, even though she had reportedly traveled to New York with Barron at some point.

There have been a lot of rumors about the state of their marriage, but I honestly believe she is just avoiding the media out of embarrassment of the hush-money scandal and not wanting to answer questions about Trump’s alleged affairs when she was pregnant or immediately after having Barron.

I have always liked Melania, and once all this dies down a bit, I would expect her to be on the campaign trail a bit more.

If Trump is going to win this race, he needs Melania to show her support and help him raise money for the campaign.
