Melania Reveals Barron’s Reaction to Assassination Attempt

I have no doubt the news of Donald Trump being shot was traumatic for Barron Trump.

We have heard bits and pieces about the family’s reaction, but Melania Trump has been opening up a lot more about how Barron reacted.

This week, her new memoir was released, offering her account of what took place that day.

Scary Moment

The day started off normally, with Barron reportedly playing tennis with some friends.

Melania had planned on watching the rally on TV that day, but she momentarily paused it just prior to the shooting so she could get some work done.

Just then, her phone rang, and it was her chief of staff letting her know what happened.

Melania was told, “Are you watching the rally?' came the shaking voice down the line. 'I just want to let you know he's okay. He… is… okay. But there was a shooting.”

Melania reached out to Trump’s Secret Service detail when she could not get ahold of Trump.

Eventually, she managed to get him on the phone, with Trump telling her, “I’m okay.”

Just as Trump got on the phone with Melania, she said that Barron came rushing in from outside, asking her, “What happened? Is Dad okay?”

The two of them watched the footage on the news, reliving that moment when Trump was shot and that initial fear of not knowing if he was okay or not.

Melania explained, “I felt a deep sense of distress. Can I explain how traumatic it is for a child to witness the attempted murder of his father?”

When Trump finally got back home, she stated that she and Barron both hugged him tightly, relieved that he was okay.

The media has played this assassination attempt down, with “60 Minutes” even saying that Trump was “grazed,” but it was just dumb luck that Trump had turned his head at that moment to look at a prop. Otherwise, it would have been a direct hit, and Trump would be dead.

The political rhetoric has been fierce during this election, and Kamala Harris recently stated that they will be doing even more negative advertising against Trump.

I fear, like Melania, that this will not be the last attempt on Trump’s life.
