Megyn Kelly hasn't interviewed Donald Trump in seven years.
She's about to do so for the first time in a while.
"It's going to be spicy."
Those were Megyn Kelly's own words.
"I’m really looking forward to this. It’s going to be great," Megyn Kelly said when announcing the interview. "It’s going to be spicy, and it’s going to be tough, but it’s going to be good and hopefully, we’re both going to enjoy it."
"I’m very glad that he agreed to do it. He’s not saying yes to everyone. To his credit, you know, Donald Trump knows that I’m not somebody who suffers from Trump Derangement Syndrome like the vast majority of people in the media, but I’m also not a sycophant, so I’m not going to go in there and be a bootlicker. It’s going to be fun, and he can handle it perfectly well."

It's no secret that Megyn Kelly and Donald Trump haven't always been the best of friends.
One of their most noteworthy exchanges was when Kelly accused Donald Trump of being verbally degrading toward women:
"You’ve called women you don’t like fat pigs, dogs, slobs and disgusting animals," Kelly was saying to Trump when Donald cut her off.
"Only Rosie O'Donnell," he said.
"Your Twitter account has several disparaging comments about women’s looks. You once told a contestant on ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ it would be a pretty picture to see her on her knees. Does that sound to you like the temperament of a man we should elect as president, and how will you answer the charge from Hillary Clinton, who was likely to be the Democratic nominee, that you are part of the war on women?" Kelly responded.
Obviously, Trump didn't like being challenged like that.
It's taken the two quite a while to get back to the point of speaking to each other again.
I'm excited to see how it goes.
