Meghan Markle, Prince Harry called 'local villains' by California neighbors

Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, have been labeled as villains by their neighbors according to recent reports.

Their neighbors from their California town recently gave a glimpse into what the couple is really like.

According to Vanity Fair, one of the Montecito, California residents called Prince Harry the “starlet.”

Fox News reported that much of the neighborhood grievance comes from the fact that their little town used to be a quiet area that now experiences frequent tourist traffic to visit Meghan and Harry’s home.

However, it goes much deeper than that according to one Montecito resident.

“I still think they’re the most entitled, disingenuous people on the planet. They moved away from England to get away from the scrutiny of the press, and all they do is try and get in the press in the United States,” the resident said according to Fox News.

Markle has begun another business opportunity in the area, the American Riviera Orchard, that has left residents even more annoyed than before.

One resident called it “a kind of hucksterism.”

“It’s just finding every way she can to monetize something.”

However, not everyone feels an ill-will toward the former royal couple.

One of those includes the famous actress Sharon Stone.

Back in 2020, Stone gave a statement to Access Hollywood on the couple saying “you know, the thing about them that is so great is they didn’t come here to live off of our community. They came here to be a part of our community.”

"My friend said she was sitting in her car, and they bicycled across the street and waved at her while she was sitting at the red light. They’re a part of our community. They’ve become a giving, caring, participating part of our community. They’re not here to be like, ‘Would you like to kiss my butt?” Stone went on.

Where do you stand on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle? Do you think they are interesting and entertaining, or do they just need to go away already?
