McConnell Claims To Be On Same Page As McCarthy

Mitch McConnell, a Republican from Kentucky, hasn't always been on the same page as other Republicans lately.

This time, it's not the case.

While many had been worried that Moscow Mitch would be willing to give liberals too much grace on the issue, the Senate Minority Leader appears to be standing strong behind House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, a Republican from California.

Last month, McCarthy passed a debt ceiling limit increase, but ONLY if Joe Biden and the rest of those bozos would agree to certain budgetary restraints.

Joe Biden fired back by saying he "refused" to negotiate. There is little indication that anyone else in Joe's administration has given that Joe is bluffing. He really is that stubborn and stupid.

Republicans know that America can't just go on spending infinite amounts of money forever, however. Mitch McConnell is now officially in that group. He and 40 other members of the Senate GOP conference are saying that they will not back "any bill that raises the debt ceiling without substantive spending and budget reforms."

The letter was made out to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.

It probably wasn't addressed to Biden because old Joe refuses to cooperate at all.

Liberals have pushed the narrative that America would immediately be thrust into default according to Republicans' plans, but that simply isn't true.

As long as America continues to pay the interest on its debt, there will be no national default. Delaying or stopping could result in some problems, yes, but not a national default.
