McCarthy Raised $15.3 In Last Quarter As Speaker Of The House

Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) was ousted as House speaker earlier this month.

Okay, so maybe he did not succeed in the role of House speaker for more than a few months.

But do you know something that McCarthy is REALLY good at?

Raising money.

McCarthy raised a nice sum of $15,300,000 for the House GOP in his last quarter as speaker.

That tally broke the record for most raised in a single quarter for House Republicans.

The previous record was set when the House Speaker was...Kevin McCarthy.

So, Kevin McCarthy didn't hold the gavel for very long, but that doesn't mean that he didn't have a tremendous impact.

Thanks to his help, House Republicans have raised almost $80 million this cycle.

No House Republican has ever raised more over the course of nine months.

This isn't the only time that McCarthy has shown off his fundraising chops.

His own re-election campaign, Kevin McCarthy for Congress, currently possesses almost $10.6 million cash on hand.

"Thank you to the many Americans who have stepped up to show their support for the House Republican majority," McCarthy said recently. "These resources are being used to combat the radical left and recruit strong, dynamic conservative candidates from coast to coast." He added:

As the election year draws closer, I remain committed to doing everything in my power to protect our House majority and return America to its proper standing in the world.

It wasn't a successful time as House speaker for McCarthy, and though he may be remembered more for his unceremonious ouster than for his prolific fundraising, that is not to say that he failed in all respects.

He has traveled to 22 states and 86 cities in just 2023 alone to campaign for and fundraise for GOP candidates, earning him the respect and gratitude of many.
