With each passing day, it seems as though House Speaker McCarthy (R-CA) is leaning into launching an impeachment of Joe Biden, reported AXIOS.
McCarthy is facing significant pressure from Trump supporters in Congress and the Senate to launch the impeachment.
The verdict remains out, however, on how this would possibly impact the 2024 election.

I continue to bring this up every time the impeachment talk comes up, but we really need to think about this.
We would all love to see Joe impeached, but the fact of the matter is that impeachment is an exercise in futility because it will die in the Senate.
History also tells us that the public tends to support a president when he is being impeached, as both Trump and Clinton enjoyed some of their highest approval ratings during their impeachments.
McCarthy, while appearing on Fox News this weekend, stated, “So, if you look at all the information we have been able to gather so far, it is a natural step forward that you would have to go to an impeachment inquiry,” reported NBC News.
White House spokesperson Ian Sims responded as we would expect, posting, “‘A natural step forward’ based on what?
“This crazy exercise is rooted not in facts & truth but partisan shamelessness.”
Well, Ian, that is not exactly true, as there is plenty of evidence of wrongdoing by Biden here, but the media and Democrats just refuse to believe it.
The impeachment talk, at least from McCarthy, would all go away if the Biden family turned over the banking documents that McCarthy wants.
He stated, “The thing that holds up whether we’ll do an impeachment inquiry: Provide us the documents we’re asking. The whole determination here is how the Bidens handle this.”
Remember what Democrats said when Trump did not want to turn over his tax returns? What was he hiding, right?
So, if the Biden family truly has nothing to hide here, turn over the documents and let McCarthy do his digging.
If there is nothing there, then he will not find anything, right?
