Mark Kelly reportedly emerges as top contender for Harris VP pick
Nothing's official yet, but the potential field of names to be Kamala Harris' VP pick is starting to show one person who's standing out beyond the rest.
Sources are indicating that Sen. Mark Kelly is becoming more and more of a favorite to be the VP candidate on Kamala Harris' ticket.
It's somehow been leaked to the press that Kelly has been sent vetting materials by Kamala Harris' team as one of the Democrats under consideration for the role.
Keep in mind though, we do not know how many other Democrats also received the same materials.
Kelly seems like he could be a logical choice for Harris.
He is currently serving the Senate in Arizona, which is a state that liberals appear to be watching slip out of their grasp as we get closer and closer to election day.
Liberal policies have been weighing down Arizona ever since large numbers started fleeing California for Phoenix, and the Grand Canyon State is probably the one most impacted by the migrant crisis caused by our porous southern border.
Democrats' chances have been looking more and more bleak in Arizona as Joe Biden's term has gone on, so selecting Kelly from the state could reinject life into Harris' chances in the state.
As a veteran and former astronaut as well, Kelly is definitely an interesting man who has a history of doing better with conservatives than most liberals do.
"I think you need someone that’s got national ID and has been tested to a degree, and I think [Kelly] brings that," said liberal strategist Matt Grodsky, a former communications director for the state Democratic Party.
Do you think that Kelly is Harris' most logical pick for VP, or would somebody else be a better fit?
