Man Who Attacked Nevada Judge Pleads Guilty

I am sure most of you remember the viral story about a man who jumped over the bench during a hearing in Nevada earlier this year.

As the judge was sentencing him, he literally jumped the bench and attacked her.

He has recently entered a plea, but there is a catch.

Watch Out

The scene at the courthouse that day was like something out of a movie.

Just as Clark County District Judge Mary Kay Holthus was offering up a lecture on how Deobra Redden needed to get “a taste of something else,” Redden decided to disburse a different form of justice...

Redden had since pleaded guilty to six different charges, which included attacking a protected person over the age of 60, but there was a catch.

Redden also attached a mentally ill plea to all of the charges.

Holthus described the day's events in court, stating, "Obviously, I hit my head, my family didn’t want me driving, and so my daughter wanted to go get a scan.

"I had a headache for a few days and the spots where he had pulled out the hair… it was sore where he had pulled out. My back, my arm, everything was stiff like you know when you get jostled around.

"He knocked me literally, almost through the wall, out of my chair. He knocked me so hard; he knocked me out of my shoes.

"He was so determined and so violent and so it was scary. I didn’t think I was going to get out of there."

This is just one in a long string of attacks that we have seen taking place against judges over the last decade.

There was a time when people would not dare say anything negative against a judge, but that all changed when Trump was in office and both sides of the aisle started to lob bombs, including going after our Supreme Court justices, so this violence is not exactly unexpected.

As I have said many times… our politicians bait the hook, and far too often, the American people fall for it.
