Body Found in Landfill 17 Years Ago Finally Identified

No, they did not find the body of Jimmy Hoffa, but they did find a body.

Leon Brown has been missing for 17 years.

The Boston resident was found in a Boston landfill in August 2005.

Only authorities had no idea who he was until now.

Murdered

Bristol District Attorney Tom Quinn stated, "I am very pleased that we were able to identify Leon Brown, and that his previously unmarked grave will no longer just be an unidentified plot number in the cemetery.

"We are now focused on investigating the circumstances of his suspicious death.

As technology improved over the years, officials were finally able to make a DNA match to identify the body.

One of the reasons that Brown was never identified before was because he was not initially reported missing by anyone.

Additionally, the body did not have leg braces, which he wore due to multiple sclerosis.

According to authorities, Brown was dead for less than a week when he had been placed in the landfill.

Now they will concentrate on trying to solve this man's murder.
