MA Governor Says She Wants the Border Fixed Now
Just last month, the governor of Massachusetts, Maura Healey, a Democrat, vowed that she would not work with Trump on fixing the border.
Her stance has suddenly changed.
I don’t know what happened here, but all of a sudden she now wants to work with Trump to get the border fixed.
The Reversal
It was only in November that Healey spoke on MSNBC, putting up a tough front regarding Trump’s border policies.
At the time, she stated, “I do think it’s important that we all recognize that there’s gonna be a lot of pressure on states and state officials.
“And I can assure you, we’re gonna work really hard to deliver.”
When directly asked if she would help Trump, she responded rather bluntly, “Absolutely not.”
Now she is changing her tune because her state is also being overrun by migrants, with shelters running out of space and homelessness becoming a major issue.
She stated, "In just the last two years of my administration … we did see an increase in numbers at the shelters because of Congress's failure to fix the border.
"I mean, that's what happened. We saw an increase in numbers. Donald Trump killed that bill a year ago … he ran on fixing the border.
"He has the opportunity now with the House and Senate and being in charge of the administration. I hope he does."
He does, but he will still need Democrat cooperation to make that happen.
I just cannot help but laugh at how all these sanctuary cities have changed their tune now that they are dealing with what Texas has been dealing with for years.
It’s not so fun when the border challenges hit your state, is it?
Conservative estimates are that Biden has allowed at least eight million illegals to enter the country, but I would not be surprised if the real figure is double that.
All I can say is thank God that Governor Abbott started shipping migrants to Democrat cities because that is what blew the lid off this entire charade.
