Longtime Adams Confidante Resigns
New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ house of cards is starting to fall.
Adams has been indicted on fraud charges related to alleged donations to his campaign from a foreign country.
The mayor has maintained his innocence, but there are now reports that a longtime insider has resigned her position and may be cooperating with authorities.
She’s Out
Winnie Greco, a longtime confidante to Mayor Eric Adams, is also believed to be facing a possible indictment.
She has resigned from her position, but there are more than a few insiders who believe she was being pushed out.
Her departure is just one of four high-profile resignations in just the last few days for Adams, but this one comes with a caveat.
There are suspicions that Greco may have turned on Adams and is cooperating with federal authorities to save herself.
Greco has served as Adams’ advisor in Asian Affairs.
By Friday, there were rumors that Adams was going to get rid of First Deputy Mayor Sheena Wright, which is when the talk of Greco’s departure seemed imminent.
Greco was also spotted speaking to Adams’ chief adviser, Ingrid Lewis-Martin, at City Hall. When reporters approached her, she told them, “No comment,” and ran off.
Greco is listed in the indictment against Adams, having accompanied him on several trips related to the investigation.
According to the report, Adams was gifted numerous first-class tickets on Turkish Airline, totaling more than $35,000.
This is a complete and utter nightmare for Adams and the Democrat Party, who tagged Adams as a possible 2028 presidential candidate after he was elected as mayor of New York City.
Adams says this is revenge for him having criticized Biden’s immigration policies, but the more evidence I see, the more likely it seems that Adams is as corrupt as the day is long.
