Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) cannot let go of her obsession with Trump.
Cheney has now announced that if Trump wins the 2024 nomination, she intends to campaign for Democrats.
She has even stated that she would leave the Republican Party if that is the case.
Read the Room
During the Texas Tribune Festival, Cheney stated, “I certainly will do whatever it takes to make sure Donald Trump isn’t anywhere close to the Oval Office.
“I’m going to make sure Donald Trump, make sure he’s not the nominee.
“And if he is the nominee, I won’t be a Republican.”
She further stated that she would be fighting against Kari Lake.
Cheney confirmed she would campaign for Lake’s Democrat opponent, current Secretary of State Katie Hobbs.
I think Cheney is misreading the room regarding her influence these days.
Getting beat down in her primary race should have been a wake-up call, but she seems to think she is far more important and influential than most voters.
I say bring it because every candidate she gets behind has a far less chance of winning.
