Letitia James Heckled by Trump Supporters at FDNY Ceremony

New York Attorney General Letitia James just got a rude awakening to the power of MAGA.

James was at the swearing-in ceremony for the new FDNY Chaplain, Rev. Pamela Holmes, the first black woman to hold the post.

As James started to speak, she was heckled with chants of “Trump, Trump, Trump.”

Simmer Down

James seemed to take the heckling well, but rest assured, it was the last thing she wanted to hear.

As the chants broke out, she tried to get control of the room again, stating, "Oh, c’mon, we’re in a house of God. Simmer down.

"Thank you for getting it out of your system."

Chief of Department John Hodgens did not seem to appreciate some of his firefighters taunting James.

He stated, "Today’s ceremony was about one thing: the accomplishments of the members being promoted.

"The members whose behavior distracted from that celebration were an embarrassment and not befitting of the world’s best fire department."

Trump Campaign Spokesman Steven Chueng responded with an attack against James, who he stated, "has done incalculable damage to the state of New York during her disastrous tenure."

Cheung added, "The state is astronomically more expensive to live in while the streets have never been more dangerous as she does the bidding of Crooked Joe Biden.

“She is an embarrassment to the people of New York and the rank and file of the FDNY know they have no greater friend than President Trump.

“The President is honored by, and grateful for their very vocal support.”

James ran on an agenda of taking down Donald Trump, and thus far, she has been successful.

James recently won a civil fraud case against Trump with a judgment of more than $350 million. With fees, penalties, and taxes, the amount is now more like $450 million. The judgment must be paid in full or a bond posted in just a few weeks, or Trump may forfeit his right to appeal.

So, Ms. James, I would not be expecting a warm welcome from Trump supporters anytime soon.
