"That amendment, eventually voted through by every Republican and Democrat on the committee, states that Congress 'condemns all racial attacks and comments leveled against any current or former Supreme Court Justice, including Justice Thomas, including those likening him to an "Uncle Tom" figure or any other repugnant stereotype,'" Fox News reported.
"The amendment details those comments recently made by Minnesota Democrat Attorney General Keith Ellison, who last week went on a racially charged rant in which he compared Thomas to a house slave character in Quentin Tarantino’s 2012 film 'Django Unchained,'" it added.

"You either condemn the racist attacks on Justice Clarence Thomas, or you don’t," Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) tweeted concerning the issue.
"After a long discussion today, my Democrat colleagues on the Judiciary Committee finally agreed to condemn the disgusting racism that many have aimed at Justice Thomas," he added.
In addition to speaking against lawmakers who have made racist remarks against the justice, the bipartisan group spoke out against the media's comments against Thomas.
The discussion specifically condemned MSNBC's Joy Reid who has repeatedly referred to Thomas as "Uncle Thomas" on her show in disparaging remarks.
The committee's effort is to be applauded but it's still uncertain how much of a difference the move will make to stop the racist attacks.
For now, the committee has at least formally chosen to condemn racist remarks against Thomas, offering at least some unity over the controversy.
