Left Finally Realizing Indictments May Not Stop Trump

Most of us have long believed that the DOJ coordinated these indictments purposely to stop Donald Trump from winning the 2024 election.

There is simply no way all these cases come to fruition at the same time, especially when you consider how long some of the cases, especially the case by Bragg, were sitting on the shelf.

The left thought the idea of using Section 3 of the 14th Amendment would work, but all their fantasies are coming crashing to earth now.

Not Happening

First and foremost, Section 3 would require that Trump be charged and convicted with insurrection, or aiding someone who had committed that act.

That charge does not exist, so any so-called constitutional expert or attorney pushing that angle is full of sh**, and that includes the numerous Democrats who have been swearing up and down that Trump is disqualified.

Svante Myrick, the president of the established Marxist activism group People For the American Way, broke the bad news to the liberal horde in a recent column.

He wrote, “The cavalry is not coming. Neither the courts nor other Republicans appear likely to stop Donald Trump in time for the general election. Legal theories about how he might be disqualified face an enormous uphill battle. Anybody waiting for a deus ex machina moment that sweeps Trump from the scene is wishcasting in an increasingly dangerous way.”

He continued, “The warning signs are all around. Trump’s diehard base is not going away. Millions are still in thrall to the Big Lie. Trump’s ratings in polls are untouched by his numerous felony charges. He’s a master of publicity and knows how to use it to his advantage.

“His closest competitors in the Republican primary have been reluctant to criticize him — and there are so many that no one person can consolidate anti-Trump sentiment.”

Myrick further noted that the cases that could land Trump in jail are unlikely to be resolved by election day.

Now, the initial trial in some of these cases may be concluded, but the appeals process is going to drag out, and I think it is highly unlikely that a judge would send Trump to jail before that appeals process played out.

Myrick actually made that exact point in his article, concluding, “To all the serious, well-meaning people who believe Donald Trump will be in prison or otherwise disqualified by Election Day, this is a wake-up call. It’s not going to happen.”

I would also note that this primary election is far from over as well.

I would all but guarantee some deals are made long before Iowa to consolidate some campaigns, and if Trump fails to make a deal himself, he could find this being a much tighter race than we are seeing right now.

I still believe that at some point, DeSantis and Haley are going to team up, which could force Trump’s hand. The one move I believe he could make at that point would be to make a deal with Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.) to be his VP.

The question then is if Scott wants to tie himself to that wagon, knowing the ridicule that will come his way if he does.
