No matter how much someone loves a job, sooner or later, if they get dumped on long enough, they will quit.
That is what is happening in the city of Austin, TX, right now, reports the New York Post.
It seems crazy that we are talking about a Texas city that is dumping on police and being turned over to radical leftists, but that is exactly what is happening in the capital city of Austin.

The Austin Police force is reeling right now. After a series of moves by an uber-leftist city council, police officers are turning in their papers in large numbers.
To that point, the city now reportedly has more than 300 vacancies and more officers are expected to leave soon. By the end of this month, almost 80 more officers are expected to retire with no apparent way to fill their spots.
Lt. Brian Moon, who retired last month after 23 years of service, stated that the Texas capital city has become more like the cities of Portland and San Francisco, “where if you’re at all conservative or in law enforcement, it’s become a hostile place,” reports Breitbart.
Police union president Thomas Villarreal added, “If you come home and find your home burglarized, calls like that are now going to 311. You’re not getting a police response to many property crimes if it’s not a violent crime that is currently ongoing.”
I have friends that were recently in Austin and said the city has dramatically changed over the last four or five years, especially when it comes to cleanliness and homelessness.
In 2020, the city slashed $150 million from the police budget, the downward spiral the city had already been experiencing got kicked into another gear. During the George Floyd protests, 19 officers were indicted for excessive force on protesters.
Moon stated, “It almost felt like there was a target — like the District Attorney’s Office and the city was looking for an opportunity to do something to you, to prosecute you or fire you, no matter if you did it right or did it wrong.”
I still cannot get the picture of officers kneeling before protesters out of my head. Police literally kneeling before people that had been tearing the city apart during these protests.
Anyone that knows me knows how much I love the state of Texas, but Austin has become a cesspool. Liberals have taken over that city and utterly destroyed it, and now they are getting what they deserve.
A crime-ridden city with far too few police to answer calls. Let’s see how they feel when they being robbed and there are no police to answer the call.
Maybe then they wake up and realize how they have destroyed what used to be an absolutely amazing city.
