DeSantis and Rubio Leading in Latest Florida Polling

It would appear the last run of polling putting Val Demings ahead of Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) was simply an outlier.

That is the good news.

The bad news is that Charlie Crist appears to be making up ground on Governor Ron DeSantis.

Florida to Stay Red… for Now

The AARP poll has DeSantis leading Crist 50-47 percent.

This is not so much DeSantis losing ground as it is undecided voters moving over to Crist.

DeSantis has a significant edge in the 50+ crowd, as is the Hispanic demographic, and DeSantis is currently holding an edge there as well.

Rubio, who trailed Demings by as much as four points in the last run of polls, has retaken the lead, albeit a small one.

The survey had Rubio over Demings 49-47 percent.

Rubio has been hammering Demings for supporting unrestricted abortions, and that stance seems to be working.
