Las Vegas Review-Journal Endorses Trump
One of the key states in this year’s election will be Nevada, which has been coupled with Arizona as a combination in which Trump is likely to need a split to win.
Trump just got a small boost in that department after a local paper in Nevada endorsed Trump.
The former president, yet again, has been given the support of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Is This Enough?
The Las Vegas Review-Journal has endorsed Republicans in every election since 1980, but you just never know where anyone will stand when it comes to Donald Trump.
On Tuesday, the paper came out to make it official, having now endorsed Trump during every presidential run.
The publication stated, “The hurricane of history charts a chaotic course.
“The gales of recent months have left political norms strewn across the landscape. The turbulence has rattled both major parties and left many voters unsettled and apprehensive.”
It goes on to outline the various challenges we have faced and will continue to face.
The publication concluded, “But when we weigh the policy results of Mr. Trump’s four years in office against those of Ms. Harris and Mr. Biden, the contrast becomes difficult to ignore. Donald Trump is the better choice.”
Harris currently holds a 0.5% advantage over Trump in the averages of polling in Nevada. Trump, however, has a lead in the most recent Fabrizio/McLaughlin poll, an internal poll ordered by the Trump campaign, which traditionally leans heavily in Trump’s favor.
In the most recent Emerson College poll, Trump is down by 1%. In the last RMG poll, Trump and Harris were even. And in the most recent Telegraph poll, Trump was also down by 1%. Basically, virtually every recent poll that was not ordered by Trump has Harris with a small lead.
The state is clearly still a tossup, but it is a state that Trump may need if he cannot with North Carolina, a state that voted red in every election since 1980 except for 2008, when Barack Obama won it. Prior to 1980, the state went blue in the overwhelming majority of elections.
If Trump loses North Carolina, where he currently holds a very slim margin over Harris, he will need to win at least two of the three Blue Wall states as well as likely having to win both Arizona and Nevada to win the election.
