Multiple ejections followed, with a total of 11 suspensions being dished out by the NBA.
"Detroit guard Killian Hayes and Orlando's Moritz Wagner were each given multigame suspensions for their roles in a scuffle, while the NBA suspended eight Magic players one game apiece Thursday for leaving the bench area during an altercation," ESPN reported.
"Hayes, who struck Wagner in the back of the head, was given a three-game suspension without pay. Wagner was banned two games and the Pistons' Hamidou Diallo was suspended one game by NBA executive vice president Joe Dumars -- the former Pistons star player and executive," it added.
The Orlando Magic faced a problem with not having enough players available for their next game due to the large number of suspensions.
The total financial loss of the suspensions included more than $500,000 in forfeited salary, according to the NBA.
Hayes was the biggest financial loser in the brawl, losing $121,000 for his suspension.
