We all know the job of any White House Press Secretary is to make the president look good.
There is always going to be some spin, but when the line gets crossed to outright lies, well, that is when we have to call them out.
That would be the case with recent statements by Karine Jean-Pierre regarding Joe Biden bringing attention to the Maui wildfires, reported Fox News.
He Talks About It
The first time that I heard Biden openly discuss the wildfires was on Tuesday during his speech in Wisconsin.
The media asked him about it several times, including during his beach time, and Joe ignored the questions or refused to give any real detail.
So, this week, when KJP went on Phil Mattingly’s show on CNN, he asked her why Biden has not been talking about them.
KJP responded, “I would disagree with that.
“When I was with [the President] out there in Utah, he was there to talk about the PACT Act…. at the top of his remarks he talked about what was going on in Hawaii and how we were moving forward with the federal whole of government response. So he has been talking about this,” reported The Independent.
She was referring to Biden stating, “Our prayers are with the people of Hawaii, but not just our prayers. Every asset we have will be available to them.” Now that is not exactly talking about the fires or what the government is going to do to help those people.
When you ask a question like that, I do not understand why the media is not better prepared with what Biden said to push back on her claims. KJP gets away with this in virtually every interview she does on TV.
Reporters just do not push back on claims they know are blatant lies.
The bottom line here is that KJP is nothing more than a spin machine at this point.
She will cover for Joe Biden no matter what, and claim a brief comment is Joe having a detailed discussion about something.
She was doing the same thing about Joe’s comments about never discussing Hunter Biden’s business dealings. She has told the lies so much, I think she actually now believes they are truth.
In my eyes, KJP will go down as the worst press secretary in modern history.
