Okay, now I have heard it all.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has clearly been dipping into the holiday cheer just a bit too much this week.
When she was drilled on the subject of the border, again, she insisted that Joe Biden has been all over immigration and the border situation "very seriously since day one."
We Got This
Fox News' Peter Doocy hit KJP on the border situation again.
When Doocy asked her about the crisis, she responded, "The president is coming forward and trying to come up with solutions.
"But the difference here is that you have Republicans, as you know, who are doing political stunts. And, you know, and we've called that out over and over and over again."
She then added, "But, this is an issue that the president has taken very seriously since day one of his administration."
The proper follow-up there was to ask her what she thought about all the Democrats that had visited the border when Donald Trump was in office.
Were those political stunts or did those visits actually serve a purpose?
Also, if you are trying to address a situation, is it not best to visit the area to see if something needs to be done?
Doocy shot back at Jean-Pierre, rephrasing his original question to see if this administration thought the border was secure.
She did not answer it directly, instead stating, "I just said it moments ago. He's willing to work with Republicans.
"He's willing to work with Democrats. He's willing to work with Independents to work on this issue, to move forward with his comprehensive plan that he put forward on day one of his administration."
But, as usual, that is all a lie.
Biden does not want to work with Republicans; he wants them to give in to his policies and sign off on them to claim it is bipartisan legislation.
That will never happen.
