Kiss Preparing For Final Bow
One of the most legendary bands in the history of music is preparing to take its final bow.
Goodbye, Kiss.
A whopping 54 years ago, four young men from New York took their equipment to a loft on 23rd Street in New York City, with dreams of one day becoming the biggest band in the world.
Many fans will argue that they accomplished their goal, without a doubt.
This weekend, the band started by those four men will say their goodbyes only about ten blocks away from that location.
If Kiss didn't end up becoming the biggest band in the world, they certainly came close, and the location of the group's final concert is proving it:
Madison Square Garden.
Kiss is famous not only for its incredible music, but for being one of the best live shows not only in the world of music, but in the entire scope of the entertainment industry.
Sure, this is proof that we're all getting older, maybe even quicker than we would like.
But this is also a celebration of history.
A band like Kiss deserves to be honored, so it's no surprise that tickets to the concert are going to be one of the hottest tickets in town.
Kiss has been releasing music to America for fifty years.
Even people born toward the end of Kiss' time as a touring band are sure to know a number of their hits, with songs like "Detroit Rock City" and "Rock and Roll All Nite" becoming embedded in American pop culture because of what massive successes they were.
Even today, those songs are still being heard in movie soundtracks and advertisements.
There's a reason that Kiss has been around for half a century.
Because they've been worth seeing for half a century.
Goodbye, Kiss.
