Kirby Responds to Trump Comments on NJ Drones
Over the last few weeks, a story has been running rampant regarding drones flying over neighborhoods in New Jersey.
When Donald Trump was asked about them, he said that if the government did not know what they were, then they should be shot down.
This resulted in National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby saying the drones are “lawful, legal aviation activity.”
Shoot Them Down!
With videos popping up all over the place and more than four dozen complaints in one county alone, Donald Trump chimed in on the drone mystery.
He posted to Truth Social, “Mystery Drone sightings all over the Country.
“Can this really be happening without our government’s knowledge? I don’t think so! Let the public know, and now. Otherwise, shoot them down!!!”
Kirby tried to calm the waters a bit, stating, “And as you saw in the joint statement last night from four different federal agencies, our assessment to date, based on the information that we’ve seen, the people we’ve talked to, the tips we’ve corroborated, this is lawful, legal aviation activity.
“Manned and unmanned, drones, civil aviation. We see nothing that leads us to a different conclusion.”
Kirby also stressed that these drones are not hiding from anyone, as they have had their navigation lights on, so he does not believe they are up there for some nefarious purpose.
Not everyone is buying that reasoning, however, as we have seen several local mayors speak up, some furious, that the federal government is not taking this more seriously.
Senator Graham (R-S.C.) is among the most prominent Republicans to have spoken on the matter, saying that he has “never been more worried about an attack on home end” than he is right now.
Graham is questioning whether the Biden administration is being truthful about the matter, as many believe that Biden is setting Trump up for a conflict outbreak as soon as he takes office.
I don’t know what is going on, but I can tell you this… people are going to tolerate being spied on with a drone, nefarious or not, for only so long.
Several friends who live in the area have already stated that those drones would make great target practice. Point being, it’s only a matter of time before people take matters into their own hands if the government does not come up with an acceptable answer soon.
