Neonatal Nurse Accused of Killing 7 Babies

It is as though the entire world is on tilt right now and nobody can figure out how to get it straightened out.

A story surfaced out of the UK this week that is just completely horrifying.

A neonatal nurse has been accused of killing seven children, and attempting to murder another 10.

Malevolent Presence

Lucy Letby was a nurse in the neonatal unit of the Countess of Chester Hospital.

The alleged murders and attempted murders tool place between 2015 and 2016.

She allegedly injected the children with insulin in some case, and air in others.

Prosecutors stated that in one case, she attempted to kill the same child three different times.

The hospital noticed a "significant rise in the number of babies who were dying and in the number of serious catastrophic collapses."

The common denominator in all the deaths was Letby.

Prosecutor Nick Johnson stated, "Lucy Letby was on duty when both were poisoned, and we allege she was the poisoner.

"There's a very restricted number of people who could have been the poisoner, because entry to a neonatal unit is closely restricted.

"The collapses of all 17 children concerned were not 'naturally occurring tragedies.'

"They were all the work, we say, of the woman in the dock, who we say was the constant, malevolent presence when things took a turn for the worse for these 17 children."

Letby has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
