Our boys took out a couple of bad guys.
Reports have surfaced that American forces have taken out two key ISIS leaders during a raid.
The raid took place in eastern Syria on Sunday.
The successful raid was announced on Monday.
US Central Command (CENTCOM) stated, “Extensive planning went into this unilateral operation to ensure its success. Initial assessments indicate no civilians were killed or injured.”
CENTCOM spokesman Joe Buccino stated, “ISIS continues to represent a threat to the security and stability of the region. This operation reaffirms CENTCOM’s steadfast commitment to ensuring the group’s enduring defeat.”
CENTCOM added, “The United States remains committed to countering the global threat from ISIS in partnership with local forces. ISIS continues to pursue an aggressive operational agenda, including external attacks that threaten US allies and partners in the region and beyond.”
Speaking on all the recent raids that have taken place, Buccino added, “The death of these ISIS officials will disrupt the terrorist organization’s ability to further plot and carry out destabilizing attacks in the Middle East.”
While the successful raid is definitely something to celebrate, there are some concerns here.
When Biden took office, the administration stated that it would be able to control ISIS via remote attacks using surveillance and drones.
The fact that we have more troops directly engaging the enemy in these attacks says a little something, at least to me, that the method the White House has hoped to use is failing.
It is not exactly a secret that Biden’s Afghanistan withdrawal was a complete disaster. He literally turned an entire country over to terrorists and it has since become a training ground for some of the deadliest organizations in the world.
While this raid was a success, overall, I think we can all agree that Biden’s foreign policy, especially when it comes to terrorism, has been a complete and utter failure.
