Sunday and Monday finally brought some good news in terms of the House for Republicans.
Within 24 hours, the GOP flipped several critical seats in California and Oregon, yes Oregon, to get within one seat of the majority.
The win by Republican Lori Chavez-DeRemer sent a shock wave through both parties in Oregon.
Changing Colors
Word came out late Sunday that OR-5 had flipped.
This was a close race, but Chavez-DeRemer had enough of a gap with 97 percent in to call the race.
Late Monday night, we also found out that GOP Rep. Ken Calvert had held off his Democrat opponent in CA-41.
His win put the GOP at 217 with 13 seats remaining.
Of those 13 races, two are neck-and-neck, and two have a GOP candidate in the lead who also happens to be an incumbent.
We get the majority if we can win any of those four races.
If we can somehow hold on to all four, we get a small cushion that will be similar to what the Democrats had during the last term.
With rumors surfacing that Pelosi may stay on if the Dems win, let’s hope we can send her packing.
This will surely energize the party to rally behind Walker to get a 50-50 Senate.
