Kevin Costner Admits He Had Strong Suspicions About Wife Cheating

One of the bigger stories of the summer and fall in the gossip world was the divorce of Hollywood star Kevin Costner.

Costner and his ex-wife, Christine Baumgartner, went through a very public divorce.

Now, family friends have revealed that Costner’s wife may have been cheating on him with his neighbor, but that is all speculation, as we have seen no confirmed reports that a relationship was in place until after the divorce.

Suspicious Minds

Costner was already a mega star, but the series “Yellowstone” put him on another planet, if that was possible.

When word of a possible breakup between Costner and his wife started to spread, fans were in shock, as the couple appeared to be happily married and had been together for almost two decades.

As noted above, this was a very public divorce, with the couple finally settling everything in September.

The terms of the divorce were never made public, but it has been reported that Christine got more out of Costner than the prenup had called for.

To shut down the rumors on that front, the couple released a joint statement regarding the settlement, stating, “Kevin and Christine Costner have come to an amicable and mutually agreed upon resolution of all issues pertaining to their divorce proceedings.”

A family source told US Weekly, “Kevin had strong suspicions that something was going on between Christine and Josh. Their close [bond] was a real elephant in the room.”

The neighbor, Josh, was apparently there for Christine to lean on when she and Costner started having problems, which then evolved into a romantic relationship.

Don’t feel sorry for Costner, however, as he has apparently already moved on as well.

Rumors are swirling that Costner and singer Jewel have started to date, with the first reports popping up in December that the two were romantically involved.

One source stated, “Kevin and Jewel had an extremely high opinion of each other and have always gotten along great.

“They check a lot of boxes for each other.”

The two had an organic friendship that developed over their joint love of music (Costner performs with his band, Modern West), then the relationship blossomed after Costner and his wife had divorced.
