"Joe Biden’s policies have crushed Arizona. Arizonans are dealing with record inflation – up 20 percent under the Biden administration. Arizona is also on the front lines of the worst illegal immigration crisis in American history. Nearly 8 million illegal immigrants under Biden, equal to the population of Arizona," Barrasso said.
"The U.S. Senate needs a Senator from Arizona that understands these issues, and will fight hard to solve them," he added.

"Barrasso marks the first member of Senate GOP leadership to back Lake heading into 2024, where she is set to square off with Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb in the GOP primary," Breitbart News reported.
"Lake, who has been a surrogate for former President Donald Trump’s campaign in recent months, received the 45th president’s highly influential endorsement – especially in GOP primaries – soon after her announcement," it continued.
Lake will also battle against Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, a Democrat turned Independent in Arizona who has at times opposed Biden's agenda.
In addition, Democrats plan to run a candidate against Sinema, creating a likely three-way battle that could set up Lake for a GOP victory.
Lake ran for governor in the state where she lost in a close battle, claiming that she was the true winner and continuing a long push in a recount battle.
The new run for Senate will give Lake another chance to lead, this time taking her style and message from Arizona to Washington.
