Kamala Harris responds to Sarah Sanders' quip about humility
Vice President Kamala Harris has been ROCKED by a recent comment from Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
Sanders recently appeared -- at least to the VP -- to charge that Harris is not humble because she does not have sons or daughters of her own.
“My kids keep me humble. Unfortunately, Kamala Harris doesn’t have anything keeping her humble. You would think after four years of straight failure, she would know a little humility. Unfortunately, she doesn’t,” Sanders said at a recent Trump Rally.
Harris, a stepparent to husband Doug Emhoff's children, was obviously triggered by Sanders’ comment and took the time to respond specifically to the statement.
“Yes, I have two. Cole and Ella became my cherished children. Doug, my husband, I was very clear with him that when we started dating, I wanted to see how this thing was going to go before I would meet Cole and Ella,” Harris said in a statement to the magazine, WIRED.
It is important for readers to understand that we're not taking anything away from stepparents!
Our point is that Harris was focused on the wrong thing here.
Sanders wasn't saying that stepchildren aren't children, she was pointing out that Kamala isn't humble!
Yet, Harris chose to focus on the fact that Sanders must have been implying something much more sinister.
A spokesperson for Sanders, Same Dubke, provided a statement explaining what Sanders was referencing when she delivered her statement.
“Vice President Harris, without winning any votes, and after driving up prices by 20% and allowing nearly ten million illegal border crossings, is claiming she alone can solve America’s problems. That’s the lack of humility Governor Sanders was referencing,” Dubke said.
At the end of the day, even though Harris DOES have two stepchildren of her own, it is OBVIOUS that she lacks humility in so many ways that many mothers and LEADERS do not.
Do you agree with Sanders’ statement?
