Kamala Harris misses out on Washington Post endorsement
The Washington Post has made headlines for a reason that has likely left Vice President Kamala Harris feeling CRUSHED.
The news outlet has joined the LONG LIST of names who have all chosen NOT to endorse Harris .
According to Breitbart News, it will be the first time in nearly FORTY YEARS that the Washington Post has not endorsed a presidential candidate.
The Post has almost always supported Democratic Party candidates.
Yet, this year, they will not stand behind the blue party's candidate.
That is saying ALL we need to know.
Even businesses that are historically liberal and even those who are actively against former President Donald Trump are choosing NOT to give the nod to Harris
The outlet went on to say that it will be “returning to our roots of not endorsing presidential candidates.”
The Post backed the decision with a statement from the editorial board that dates all the way back to 1960.
“The Washington Post has not 'endorsed' either candidate in the presidential campaign. That is in our tradition and accords with our action in five of the last six elections,” the nearly 65-year-old statement read.
“We have said and will continue to say, as reasonably and candidly as we know how, what we believe about the emerging issues of the campaign. We have sought to arrive at our opinions as fairly as possible, with the guidance of our own principles of independence but free of commitment to any party or candidate,” the statement continued.
Harris should be ashamed of herself.
It is really saying something about the kind of candidate she is that you have outlets and entities that have endorsed candidates for decades deciding to stop and simply keep their opinions to themselves.
Maybe if Harris hadn't acted as though she was entitled to the endorsements that she expected would be handed out to her, the leadership of the Post would not have made this decision.
Do you think the Post's decision not to endorse Harris will come back to bite her?
