Judge Says Cornel West Must Be on Michigan Ballot
The Harris campaign just got some bad news from a Blue Wall state.
A judge has just ruled that third-party candidate Cornel West be featured on the upcoming presidential ballot.
West will be pulling support from Harris in a state she must win if she wants to win this election.
Put Him on the Ballot
Judge James Robert Redford made the decision this week, which was applauded by the Fair Election Fund, which has been arguing that Democrats are trying to suppress voter choice.
Redford wrote, “The state defendants are ordered to qualify West and Abdullah as independent candidates for the ballot, on the condition that the Board of State Canvassers does not determine they are disqualified after a review of the signatures on the qualifying petitions and West complies with MCL 168.590d(2).”
West also took a victory lap on X, posting, “Victory in Michigan! We brought thousands of voices to the table, and the court listened, rejecting the Democrats’ technical challenges.
“This is a win for democracy and for every person fighting for truth, justice, and love. Onward!”
Harris has nearly a 3-point advantage against Trump in the average of polls, with the most recent poll giving her a 2-point edge in Michigan.
West did not have the same luck in another Blue Wall state, Pennsylvania.
Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court Judge Renee Cohn Jubelirer ruled that West could not be on the ballot in that state, rejecting the paperwork submitted to approve his candidacy.
With Kennedy out of the race, every third-party candidate now is a threat to Harris, so expect Dems and these activist judges to do whatever they can to block these people from running.
Personally, I cannot remember seeing this kind of flurry of activity from either party to try to block third-party candidates, but Dems know there is no margin for error right now.
At some point, the American people are going to wake up and realize Harris is a fraud, but I sure do hope they hurry because we are less than three months from pulling those handles.
