Judge puts Biden's student loan cancellation on hold once more

President Joe Biden is likely FREAKING OUT over the latest decision from a judge.

Biden’s plan to cancel student debt has once again been paused in Missouri.

Just hours after the ruling in Georgia in favor of Biden’s debt-cancelling plan, another judge put an injunction in place that stopped Biden in his tracks.

U.S. District Judge Matthew Schelp, who was appointed by former President Donald Trump, released a statement on his recent decision.

“Allowing Defendants to eliminate the student loan debt at issue here would prevent this Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court from reviewing this matter on the backend, allowing Defendants’ actions to evade review,” Schelp noted.

The stance of the Department of Education regarding Schelp’s decision was made known not long after news of the decision broke.

“The Department of Education is extremely disappointed by this ruling on our proposed debt relief rules, which have not yet even been finalized. This lawsuit was brought by Republican elected officials who made clear they will stop at nothing to prevent millions of their own constituents from getting breathing room on their student loans. We will continue to vigorously defend these proposals in court,” said a spokesperson in a statement.

While President Biden and the Department of Education may be disappointed with this ruling, not everyone feels this way!

Republican Attorney General Andrew Bailey of Missouri released a statement on the judge’s decision that made the news.

“This is a huge win for transparency, the rule of law, and for every American who won’t have to foot the bill for someone else’s Ivy League debt,” said Bailey.

The topic of canceling student debt has been started and paused again and again and has long since divided our nation. Where do you stand on the issue?
