Judge Cannon Asks Prosecutors Great Question…

Donald Trump has not had much luck in his federal indictments other than being able to continue to push these cases back.

That changed a little bit this week with a judge he appointed asking prosecutors a very interesting question.

Judge Aileen Cannon wanted to know why, up until now, no other presidents have been charged in the way Trump is being charged in the classified documents case.

Great Question!

The question is the same question that most of us have been asking.

It is no secret that most presidents take records when they leave office, and they do not always go through the proper channels.

This has just been an accepted practice for them to have their records for their memoirs, which are eventually put in their presidential libraries.

That is why everyone was so stunned when such a big deal was made about Trump possessing documents after he left the White House.

It did not help matters that Joe Biden had taken classified documents but was never charged, even if for the reason that he was an elderly man with a poor memory.

When Cannon asked the question of prosecutors, Jay Bratt, a prosecuting attorney for Special Counsel Jack Smith, responded, “Even with other former presidents, there was never a situation remotely similar to this one.”

Smith justified the charges by saying, “Most notably, Trump, unlike Biden, is alleged to have engaged in extensive and repeated efforts to obstruct justice and thwart the return of documents bearing classification markings.”

Trump has always maintained that he was cooperating with authorities, then they unexpectedly raided Mar-a-Lago.

At some point, the American people will get the real story behind this, but I fear everyone reading this, including myself, will be long gone before history accurately tells the story of what happened between 2016 and 2024 in this country.
