Joy Behar, co-host of ABC's The View, just made a fool out of herself during an interview with Gypsy Rose Blanchard.
It's not the first time Behar's looked silly.
As a reminder, Gypsy Rose Blanchard was just released from prison after eight years, having been convicted of second-degree murder charges in the death of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard.
Dee Dee Blanchard was thought to be a sick woman suffering from a psychological illness that led her to treat her daughter for chronic illnesses that she did not have.
Gypsy Rose ultimately plotted the murder of her mother to “escape” her care, but two wrongs do not make a right, especially when murder is involved.
After eight years behind bars, Gypsy Rose understands that what she did was wrong and will openly speak on that subject.
However, Behar, seems to be confused about the fact that murder is never okay.
During Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s time on The View, she said that “If there’s someone out there watching right now, please listen to me, heed my words, that you are not alone in this situation. There are other ways out. I did it the wrong way.”
Behar was quick to interrupt her.
“No, no, no, don’t say that. You had no choice,” Behar said.
Blanchard was quick to shut down Behar’s ridiculous comment.
“I did. I did something wrong, and I paid my dues for it,” Blanchard said.
Well spoken, Gypsy Rose Blanchard!
Behar quickly sang a different tune, in what appeared to be an attempt to recover from her out of line statement, saying “Oh, you mean that part. Oh, yeah. Nevermind.”
We are happy to see that Blanchard’s time in prison has helped her grow into a functioning member of society.
Blanchard is now happily married to special education teacher, Ryan Anderson, and enjoying her freedom.
