Jordan Opens Probe into Obstruction of Justice by Intel Community

The House is back to work, and Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) is back to doing what he prefers to be doing… opening up probes to help Donald Trump and expose what took place to protect the Bidens.

In this case, he has opened an investigation into the alleged interference by the intelligence community to push the narrative that Hunter Biden’s laptop was Russian disinformation.

Jordan announced the probe will be handled by the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, which he also chairs.

Out for Justice

Jordan sent a letter to Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines demanding that he answer for the alleged efforts by intelligence officials to obstruct the probe into Hunter Biden’s business dealings.

This probe was initiated in 2019 by Senators Grassley (R-IA) and Johnson (R-WI).

The two senators were briefed by the FBI on this matter in August 2020, in what they believed was an improper briefing.

The briefing was held on August 6, 2020, specifically on the “threat of Russian disinformation,” which only occurred because of "pressure from congressional Democrats,” who were pushing this narrative to help Joe Biden win the 2020 election.

Jordan wrote, "Although the FBI claims that the briefing focused on Russia, the information that Floris and Benavides conveyed to the Senators 'consisted primarily of information that [the Senators] already knew and information unconnected to [their] Biden investigation.'

“The briefing, the existence of which was later leaked, hampered the Senators' investigation into Hunter Biden’s financial connections to foreign governments and foreign nationals.”

The focus of this probe is that the information that was used to justify the concerns of Russian disinformation did not originate from the FBI, but rather from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI).

Then-Deputy Assistant Director for Counterintelligence Nikki Floris testified to this, with Jordan citing her testimony in his letter.

He stated, "Specifically, she testified that 'ODNI owns this whole process…ODNI took the lead…in drafting the script' used to brief Senators Grassley and Johnson.

“She further testified: 'I would certainly defer you to ODNI as far as the specifics that were in the script. It wasn’t FBI-collected information.’"

Jordan went on to say, "Floris and Benavides made it unequivocally clear that ODNI and its Notification Framework were integral to the pretextual 'defensive' briefing meant to frustrate and obstruct congressional oversight into the Biden family's overseas influence-peddling operation.”

I would also suspect that Jordan will start to go after the 51 former intelligence officials who signed off on the letter that Biden referred to during the debate to disqualify Trump’s comments about the information on the laptop.

This letter was also what the mainstream media largely used to justify killing the story, as well as social media outlets censoring the story.
