JonBenét Ramsey's Father Hopeful Case Can Finally Be Solved

There have been numerous specials done regarding the murder of JonBenét Ramsey.

The last one, however, has created an influx of new tips on the case, which has created hope with Ramsey’s father, John Ramsey.

He is hopeful that with new DNA technology and the new influx of tips, authorities will finally be able to solve the death of his daughter.

Still Looking

This horrific murder was never really investigated properly until it was far too late.

At the time of her death, the police were concentrating mostly on family members, in particular the mother and brother of JonBenét Ramsey.

Years later, the family was completely ruled out, but police missed out on the key days and weeks after the murder when the trail was still hot.

Since then, Ramsey’s mother has passed away and her father has remarried, but the death of his daughter still weighs heavily on his mind.

However, recently, between the changes in DNA technology and the new tips, John Ramsey is hopeful that police can find his daughter’s killer.

John Ramsey stated, “In my mind, she’s still my 6-year-old little girl.

“She was a spark of energy. She was very extroverted [and] loved to perform. And I was worried she was going to grow up and run off to Hollywood. That’s not gonna be good.”

Regarding the early days of the investigation, he stated, “Their objective was to charge Patsy and I. From day one, that was the answer. Their whole case against us was [that] we didn’t act right that morning."

On his hopefulness that the crime will finally be solved, John Ramsey added, “All we know — and we may be wrong — there were a number of items taken from the scene [and] sent to a DNA lab for testing.

“A number of those items were returned untested. The garrote, a suitcase found under the window that looked to me like a step to get out of the upward basement window.

"I think it can be solved if we take advantage of the latest technology that’s out there now. The thing baffling to me is, why wouldn’t you do this?"

I can remember this murder when it was first reported and the horror felt across the nation of this beautiful little girl suffering through a horrific death.

Just for closure for the family, I hope they are able to close this cold case once and for all.
