John Fetterman and wife involved in car crash in Maryland
He may not be a conservative, but Democrat Senator John Fetterman uses common sense more than most liberals, so he's somebody who Republicans have come to appreciate at least a little bit.
Both sides of the aisle are undoubtedly upset to learn the recent news about Fetterman:
The Pennsylvania Senator, age 54, was involved in a Sunday morning car crash along a Maryland highway near the Pennsylvania border. His wife, Gisele, was in the car as well.
The senator's office revealed on June 10 that Fetterman "was evaluated at a hospital for a bruised shoulder and was discharged Sunday with no additional injuries before returning to Braddock, Pennsylvania. He plans to return to Washington, D.C., Tuesday afternoon for Senate votes, a Fetterman spokesperson" said.
Reports indicate that the crash occurred just before eight in the morning in Hancock, Maryland, while heading toward Pennsylvania.
Fetterman was reportedly driving a Chevy Traverse, with a Chevy Impala being the other car involved.
Maryland State Police indicate that Fetterman rear-ended the other driver.
"On Sunday morning, John and Gisele were involved in a car accident with another driver," Fetterman's office said.
"Out of an abundance of caution, they were evaluated at a local hospital. John was treated for a bruised shoulder, and they were discharged that afternoon. They are doing well and happy to be back in Braddock."
Both Fetterman and the other driver were transported via ambulance to the War Memorial Hospital in West Virginia.
Currently, no citations have been issued regarding the accident.
However, authorities have said the crash investigation "remains active and ongoing."
There's no doubt this was a very scary situation for everyone involved!
Prayers to all parties that they recover quickly both physically and mentally.
