During a recent appearance at the National Education Association headquarters in DC, Joe Biden was trying to be funny.
As usual, the joke fell completely flat.
In this instance, it was simply because Biden left it hanging after saying something that just about melted the internet.
Say Hi to Me
I am not sure who the woman was or what their previous relationship had been, but Biden clearly wanted some attention from the women.
That is when he said the fateful line.
While gesturing toward the woman, he stated, “You gotta say hi to me.
“We go back a long way. She was 12, I was 30.
“But anyway, this woman helped me get an awful lot done.”
There was just complete silence in the room when Biden made the comment.
Considering some of the allegations that have been made against Biden in the past, that was probably the worst comment he ever could have made in that scenario.
