Jill Biden Appears to Take Lead in New Gun Safety Initiatives from White House

This week, the White House announced a new executive order pushing gun safety as it relates to how firearms are being stored in homes.

It turns out it will not be Kamala Harris taking the lead on this initiative.

Instead, it seems like First Lady Jill Biden will be the face of the initiative.

Jill Taking Over

Not seeing Kamala as the face of this is not a surprise. This administration has given her numerous resets, but it now appears that Kamala is just being faded out save her campaign appearances.

Jill, on the other hand, has been far more prevalent in filling in for Joe, just as we all suspected would happen once the campaign got fired back up.

To that point, it will be Jill taking the lead on the gun safety initiative, at least that is the way it appears.

Jill Biden joined Education Secretary Miguel Cardona at that event hosting school principals, where the new initiative was introduced.

During the event, Jill stated, “You can show parents that they can be part of preventing the next shooting, the next suicide, the next accident.

“It weighs on his [Joe Biden’s] heart every day, and he's not going to stop fighting until we've solved it.”

Gun storage has come front and center with so many shootings by teenagers in the country.

In some of these cases, it was learned that the firearms were not being stored properly, which, along with mental health and lax enforcement of current gun laws, has been a major focus of the GOP’s response when Democrats push more gun control laws after these shootings.

This is an issue that I would wager could have been dealt with in a bipartisan way, but Biden does not want to give any win to the GOP on this front, so he went about it with an executive order to give him bragging rights on it.

It is also a very aggressive initiative for a First Lady, showing me that she is more or less pushing Kamala Harris right out of the picture.
