Jerusalem Post Editor: Kamala Is a Disaster for Jews
After Biden dropped out and the Democrats handed Kamala the nomination, I repeatedly stated that PA Governor Josh Shapiro was a no-brainer for Harris.
I have zero doubt he would have delivered her PA and possibly even MI in the general election.
Harris went a different way, caving to the far left by picking Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, and this is not sitting well with Jewish people, who are now openly calling Harris a “disaster” for Jewish people.
A Hot Mess
Zvika Klein, the editor-in-chief of the Jerusalem Post, wrote a scathing op-ed this week, calling out Harris and how damaging her winning this election could be for both Jewish people and the country of Israel.
In part, Klein wrote, “Harris’s willingness to entertain an arms embargo, as suggested during her Detroit meeting, is not an isolated incident. Over the years, her actions and statements have consistently raised alarms about her commitment to Israel. In February 2019, when Rep. Ilhan Omar used antisemitic tropes by suggesting that American support for Israel was ‘all about the Benjamins’ and accusing American Jews of having ‘allegiance to a foreign country,’ Harris’s response was disturbingly tepid. Instead of unequivocally condemning Omar’s statements, Harris expressed concern that the criticism might endanger Omar, thus failing to denounce the antisemitic rhetoric within her party firmly.
“Harris’s support for the Iran nuclear deal (JCPOA) is another contentious point. In 2015, she supported the agreement, which many critics argue empowers Iran, a significant threat to Israel. Rejoining the JCPOA aligns Harris with the progressive wing of the Democratic Party, which has increasingly taken a hostile stance toward Israel.
“This alignment is deeply troubling for those who believe that the deal does not sufficiently prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons.”
Klein also noted how Harris’ comments after her meeting with Netanyahu undermined negotiations with Hamas, likely making Hamas feel like it was in a position of power because of the pressure being applied by the United States.
This is nothing new, but I am glad the Jewish people are finally realizing that the Democrat Party does not like them or their native country.
Jews have been under attack by the Democrat Party since Obama was in office, but it just took them nearly 16 years to realize it.
What do you think about this story?
Can Kamala reverse this trend, or is her campaign in trouble?
