House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) started a probe into a buyer of Hunter Biden's artwork after she was appointed to a role by President Biden.
Elizabeth Hirsh Naftali is a Biden donor and Biden appointee to the Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad who reportedly purchased artwork from the first son.

“The Committee is concerned Hunter Biden has used his new career as an artist to peddle influence in and access to the White House,” Comer said.
“The White House has stated that ‘Hunter Biden would be walled off from knowing the identities of his buyers in an attempt to separate his business dealings from his father’s administration,'” he added.

"Hirsh Naftali is influential in California Democratic circles and a significant Democratic donor who has given $13,414 to the Biden campaign and $29,700 to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee this year," Business Insider reported.
"In 2022, she hosted a fundraiser headlined by Vice President Kamala Harris," it added.
In addition, Hirsh Naftali has reportedly visited the White House at least 13 times since Biden has been in office.
"Insider also obtained internal documents from Hunter Biden's gallery showing that a single buyer purchased $875,000 worth of his art," the report shared, explaining that other individuals may need to be investigated.
The financial ties don't help Hunter Biden as he faces a congressional committee investigation into his international business dealings connected with his father.
The new probe may increase problems even more for the president as the financial connections hit even closer to family in the latest investigation.
