Jamaal Bowman Facing Uphill Battle for Re-election

Squad member Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-N.Y.) loves to be out in front of the camera.

He regularly creates drama on the Hill, but that drama may have finally caught up with him.

While he has somehow survived most of his nonsense, his stance against Israel is costing him big league, to the point that he may be ousted in his primary race.

Big Challenge

Bowman was caught standing on a street corner, literally preaching about how Hamas was being mistreated by the media.

He has also taken stacks of cash from donors who are anti-Israel, and now it is catching up with him.

New York has a significant Jewish population, and they are growing more and more upset over the position being taken by Bowman.

Bowman is being challenged in the primary by Democrat Westchester County Executive George Latimer, and he is not faring well.

In the latest polling, Bowman was trailing Latimer 35-52%.

DMFI PAC Chair Mark Mellman, which is backing Latimer, stated, “With a robust campaign, George Latimer is in a strong position to unseat the now unpopular Congressman Bowman.”

Latimer’s campaign is now being backed by various pro-Israel organizations, including the American Israel Public Affairs Committee and PACs associated with that group that are dropping six- and seven-figure ad buys either against Bowman or to promote Latimer.

Patrick Dorton, spokesperson for the AIPAC-aligned United Democracy Project, stated, “Jamaal Bowman holds radical, anti-Israel views that don’t reflect his district or the views of President Biden.

“He refused to condemn Hamas on the House floor and traffics in conspiracy theories. We are going to be active in this race.”

Latimer has not even had to campaign on being pro-Israel because these groups are doing all the dirty work for him on this front.

Honestly, Donald Trump’s campaign should take notes on controversial issues because this is being handled masterfully and keeping Latimer out of the muck, something that Trump has never been able to avoid.

Squad members have trailed heading into primary races before only to pull out a win, so I will not be so bold as to predict that Bowman will be ousted, but his campaign is in dire shape… make no mistake about that.
