Jack Smith's prosecution team lawyers up ahead of presidential transition

Breitbart.com is billing it as a case of the "hunter" becoming the "hunted."

Members of Jack Smith's prosecution team are hiring lawyers in preparation for possible legal action by Donald Trump as a result of the witch hunt that took place against him over the last few years.

The story regarding Smith's legal eagles was first reported by Rolling Stone.

"According to two sources with knowledge of the matter and a former Justice Department official, several attorneys and staffers who were on the special counsel’s Justice Department team, or had done work for its criminal investigations into Trump, have already sought legal counsel or retained personal lawyers — in case the former and now future president and his incoming administration follow through on his desire to probe or even prosecute his enemies," the article read.

While the article tried to frame Donald Trump's possible legal action as just petty revenge, there are many people who think that Jack Smith and his team absolutely realized they were engaging in an illegal witch hunt as they were investigating Trump.

If Smith's team had been above water on all actions, then why would the people who worked with Smith be combing through their files and communications to find possible instances of bias against Trump?

There should be no questions about whether or not this situation was handled right down the middle. If even the people involved are questioning whether or not they were biased against Trump, that's a pretty good sign Trump's "witch hunt" claims were probably correct.

Rolling Stone continued:

One of the sources with knowledge of the situation tells Rolling Stone that multiple people who worked with Smith and his core team have preemptively reviewed their private and professional communications, to make sure they hadn’t written anything that could be subpoenaed, publicly revealed, and used against them to paint a narrative of alleged misconduct or supposed anti-Trump bias.

Some federal investigators, including more junior staff, have talked to attorneys and legal groups about possible ways a rejuvenated Trump Justice Department could try to make their lives hell, what precautionary measures they should take, and even how to avoid going bankrupt if the revenge probes come in full force, the sources add.

Despite liberals trying to paint Trump as bloodthirsty and out for revenge, some of the president-elect's recent comments indicate that he might not be as aggressive as the left is saying he will be, at least when it comes to outgoing President Joe Biden.

"I’m really looking to make our country successful. I’m not looking to go back into the past. I’m looking to make our country successful. Retribution will be through success. If we can make our success -- this country successful, that would be my greatest, that would be such a great achievement," Trump told NBC's Kristen Welker in a recent interview.

Do you think that Donald Trump has cause for legal action against Jack Smith or Joe Biden? Or should the president-elect be trying to turn the page and put all of this stuff behind him?
