Jack Smith might be getting a little big for his britches.
He just asked for a gag order that would restrict Donald Trump from making certain public statements about his pending federal case.
Trump is the former president of this great country, and Smith actually has the audacity to try to tell him that he can't tell the people of America the truth?
Smith is simply a Trump hater, as evidenced by the four federal indictments that the Justice Department has brought against him in D.C. with Smith heading up the case.
Smith alleges that America's 45th president is guilty of a host of charges related to his dispute of the results of the 2020 election.
Let's take a step back here and realize that this is nothing but a political witch hunt.
There is NOTHING illegal about what Donald Trump did.
Donald Trump truly believed that he had won the 2020 election, and he acted accordingly.
Wouldn't it actually be a little MORE concerning if America's president was pretty sure that our elections were not being held on the level and instead of telling the American people about it, he simply accepted the results and let it happen?
America's liberals are going to have to be able to prove that Trump truly believed that he had lost the 2020 election but tried to stay in power anyway.
Everyone close to Trump seems to be pretty sure that that's not what happened.
Regardless of whether the results of the election were legitimate or not, the fact of the matter is that Trump believed there was something fishy going on with them.
There's nothing illegal about being wrong once in a while, so if that's all that happened in Trump's situation, he shouldn't be being treated like a criminal.
This is liberal America in 2023 however, so common sense doesn't seem to be a big part of the equation.
