Is Alina Habba Getting Fired as Trump’s Primary Counsel?

This week, Donald Trump shook the legal world with one simple post on Truth Social.

After losing yet another court case, this one costing him $83 million, it would appear that Trump has had enough of Alina Habba sitting first chair.

Trump posted that he is now interviewing attorneys to handle his appeal.

I have very little empathy for Habba, as she has treated this more like a circus than the serious case that it is.

Instead of spending every spare second figuring out how to beat the odds, Habba has been doing media, traveling on Trump’s private jet, and partying with the rich and famous.

She is now also a devoted MAGA supporter, often seen at rallies and events, which is not exactly the norm for a personal attorney when they have cases stacked to the ceiling.

It is a given that Trump is going to lose the New York fraud case that Habba was lead counsel for, and that could cost Trump $370 million.

Now add the $83 million from the E. Jean Carroll case, not to mention the millions in legal bills, and it is understandable why Trump is looking to make a change.

Trump posted on Truth Social, “I am in the process, along with my team, of interviewing various law firms to represent me in an Appeal of one of the most ridiculous and unfair Witch Hunts our Country has ever seen - The defamation Sham presided over by a Clinton appointed, highly partisan, Trump Hating Judge, Lewis Kaplan, who was, together with certain other Radical Left Democrat Judges, one of the most partisan and out of control activists that I have ever appeared before.

"This entire HOAX is a disgrace to our American System of Justice.”

Trump’s attorneys during this process have been less than impressive, but there may not have been a worse attorney than Habba.

She just seemed unprepared, made a lot of controversial remarks, and seemed more like a cheerleader for Trump than his legal representation.

If she is getting fired, she has nobody but herself to blame.

MAGA has defended her throughout this process, but I would suspect that if Trump fires her, they are going to turn on her on a dime, especially when she starts going on more news shows and talking smack about Trump, which we all know will happen if he fires her.

Just a little more drama to add to the 2024 election cycle.
