The attorney for an IRS whistleblower is starting to throw shade at Merrick Garland's Department of Justice.
The attorney, Mark Lytle, believes that there are some questions that need to be raised about the independence of the DOJ when it comes to the Hunter Biden investigation.
Certain communications have come to light, which the DOJ is dismissing as "routine."
Routine or Conspiracy
Gary Shapley, via Lytle, contacted the Senate Finance and House Ways and Means Committees to say that he wanted to come forward as a whistleblower, reported CBS News.
In the letter sent by Lytle, he claimed that his client was making allegations that included "preferential treatment and politics improperly infecting decisions and protocols that would normally be followed by career law enforcement professionals in similar circumstances."
His letter did not mention that it was Hunter Biden, but only that it was a "sensitive investigation of a high-profile, controversial subject."
Several days later, the DOJ contacted Lytle regarding the matter.
Lytle stated, "I was initially encouraged at the outreach from Brad Weinsheimer, in the office of the Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco, that they were interested in learning about any allegations of wrongdoing at the department (in the Hunter Biden probe) and that they wanted to create a safe environment for whistleblowers.
"But that all went out the window when the IRS agents were kicked off the case."
Lytle added, "The fact that the office of the deputy attorney general reached out to whistleblowers, then we learned that the same senior DOJ official was apparently meeting with Weiss and counsel for Hunter Biden, indicate Weiss did not have complete authority to make decisions on the case — contrary to what Weiss and the attorney general have told the public."
There is simply no way I could ever be convinced that Garland is not taking strict orders from the White House regarding the Hunter Biden case.
I don't know if it is Biden directly or word being handed down by another individual, but you would have to be insane to think that Garland was not given a directive to protect Hunter when he was appointed to this position.
The fact that prosecutors were already allowing Hunter to walk with nothing more than a slap on the wrist for gun charges and a huge tax evasion case is more than enough proof that this investigation was rigged from the outset.
