Iranian-backed Houthis Shoot Down $30m US Drone

Well, it looks like we can add another $30 million to the tab of Joe Biden’s weakness.

The Iranian-backed Houthis took out an MQ-9 Reaper drone over the Red Sea. The drone was in international airspace of international waters at the time it was shot down.

Iran continues to taunt Biden with little to no repercussions.

Joe’s Buddies

Now, up until 2021, I would have called the Houthis a terrorist organization, but Joe Biden removed the Houthis from the US terror group list not long after taking office.

So, has anyone noticed the trend of Joe Biden bending over backward for Iran yet? Obama did the same thing.

There is a weird obsession in the Democrat Party to become buddies with Iran that I simply do not understand.

Anyway, the drone, which can carry up to eight Hellfire missiles, was conducting a surveillance run when the Houthis shot it down. The drone was not armed at the time.

Later that day, the United States conducted an air strike in Syria, but it was the Houthis in Yemen that took down the drone, and there was no strike against that group.

Secretary of Defense Austin stated, “This strike was conducted by two U.S. F-15s against a weapons storage facility.

“This precision self-defense strike is a response to a series of attacks against U.S. personnel in Iraq and Syria by IRGC-Quds Force affiliates.”

The strikes being conducted by the United States have been called “inconsequential” by some military experts, believing this is just Biden getting a headline rather than making Iran actually pay for the attacks that have been launched against our troops, and now this drone.

While none of our troops were killed, there were some serious brain injuries that were reported, but this seems to matter little to Biden.

So, Iran and its militias will continue to carry out these attacks, more than likely sitting back and having a big belly laugh about the fact the United States no longer has someone in office willing to swing that big stick of ours.
