Iran Denies Claims It Tried to Have Trump Assassinated
When the attempts were made on Donald Trump’s life, Iran was a country that immediately came into the conversation.
Not necessarily for those attempts, but just a reminder that the terrorist nation has wanted Trump and various officials dead for some time, so Trump will never really be out of danger on that front.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, however, says that Iran never has and never will plot to have Trump killed.
Not Us
The Iranian president was on NBC News this week, being interviewed by Lester Holt.
When asked about attempts on Trump’s life and moving forward, he responded, "This is another one of those schemes that Israel and other countries are designing to promote Iranophobia. ... Iran has never attempted to nor does it plan to assassinate anyone. At least as far as I know."
Holt fired back, "You’re saying there was never an Iranian plot to kill Donald Trump?"
Pezeshkian again responded, "None whatsoever. We have never attempted this to begin with, and we never will."
Technically, he may be right, as the government has not sanctioned any plots against Trump, but even that is questionable.
We know Iranian operatives want to see Trump dead, with numerous threats having already been issued, including threats against Trump and many of his first-term officials, including former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
While Pezeshkian makes his very questionable claim, the country openly supports the likes of Hezbollah and Hamas, just to name a few.
The country supports terror groups operating in Iraq, Syria, Bahrain, and other countries in the Middle East.
This is why we have to dismiss the denial by the Iranian president. While he may not be directly ordering an assassination, the groups sponsored by Iran are very much looking to end Trump.
As soon as Trump takes office, I fully expect his administration to drop the hammer on Iran again, looking to cripple the country for the extent of his administration.
My concern at this point is Trump’s inauguration being targeted for a terror event, as well as moving ahead and operatives already in this country radicalizing people to take down a major event, such as the Super Bowl.
Get ready, my friends, for better or worse, it all begins on Monday.
